Queenstown Airport

Queenstown accommodation

The Queenstown Airport has been designed with tourists in mind so when you fly into the Airport you will quickly and easily be able to get into the township itself. The airport terminal itself is located in Frankton – a suburb about 15 minutes drive from the town centre.

At the terminal you will find restroom facilities, retail outlets, duty free shops, a book and magazines shop, a chemist (pharmacy) as well as a range of cafes, bars and takeaway food outlets. You can also change your money there at the currency exchange, get money from an ATM machine, access the internet and telephones and store your baggage if necessary.

Transport options for getting into town include the Connectabus service, the Shuttle service, Taxi, or rental car hire. The Connectabus service goes to every major hotel and motel in Queenstown and runs every 20 minutes from the terminal. The Shuttle service will take you into town and it too leaves the terminal roughly every 20 minutes.
A taxi drive will take you about 15 minutes to the centre of town and there are usually taxi’s waiting on the rank outside of the airport terminal building, or you can hire your own car from one of five national agencies all situated in the terminal building.
